Yield The fraction of die (integrated circuits) began in a fab that work properly at the end of fabrication. Sometimes called die yield to distinguish from wafer yield, the fraction of wafer starts that finish production.

Example: Ramping the yield during new technology introduction is critically important, with the goal of reaching 80% yield in 6 months .
